Wild Huskies: Fungi

Genus Hypoxylon



This fungus likes to colonize dead wood. This genus of  fungi is quite common, and has a dark brown spore print. This fungus is not edible. This single log had at least four different species on it and located off of the trail at the Union Bay Natural Area.
