Mycena leptocephala (Nitrous Bonnet)


This little fungus has dark coloring when it's young. These are commonly found on the forest floor, underneath organic materials like leaves or needles. They can live in a wide variety of locations and conditions all over the planet.


When touched, the gills smell like bleach or "nitrous". It has a white spore print. It does not have a veil under the cap. These are inedible.
